On May 9, Russia may resort to new provocations. Therefore, it is important for Ukrainians to be vigilant and follow simple rules.
Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Vadym Denisenko gave advice to citizens on how to protect themselves in these busy days on the air of a united news marathon. Channel 24 broadcasts the details.
Probable Russian provocations
Russia has its own “strong” dates, for which it often prepares aggression and may commit provocations. In particular, there remains a high probability of tougher rocket attacks on Ukrainian settlements. So, in some regions of Ukraine, for the period of May 9, local authorities took certain security measures:
- In Zaporozhye, the curfew will last from 19:00 on May 8 to 5:00 on May 10. Local residents will be able to leave their homes only during an air raid alert and only to go down to shelter.
- Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov also said that the curfew time in the city for this period is also likely to be changed . However, there has been no official information regarding such changes yet.
- The Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, has canceled any mass events, and this year the City Day falls on May 7th. The official urged local residents to stay at home and, if possible, even temporarily leavefrom Ivano-Frankivsk, for the period of May 7, 8 and 9.
Advice from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Vadym Denisenko urged Ukrainians to comply with the established restrictions. He asked citizens not to lose their common sense and refuse to participate in mass events and go out into nature, in particular, to fry barbecue.
Denisenko stressed that it is categorically prohibitedvisit forests and forest plantations in regions where enemy troops were temporarily located – in Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, etc. This should not be done in any case, since such territories have not yet been checked for mines.
In addition, the adviser to Denis Monastyrsky noticed another very important point – the so-called memorial days . Therefore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is asking Ukrainians to refrain from mass gatherings.
This is necessary in order to basically prevent the enemy from understanding that somewhere there is a large crowd of people. We all remember what happened at the railway station in Kramatorsk – the cynicism of the enemy is always going wild. – Denisenko noted.
By the way, the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that these days the SBU, the National Guard, the National Police and all Ukrainian law enforcement agencies will certainly work in enhanced special regime. To facilitate the work of law enforcement, citizens should be attentive and attentive, mass gatherings can become very dangerous.
