Possible offensive of Belarus: Piontkovsky admitted whether Lukashenka will send troops to Ukraine

Lukashenko and Putin agreed to deploy a joint regional group of forces. However, does this mean that the Belarusian army will launch an offensive on the territory of Ukraine?

Own opinion Channel 24said the Russian opposition publicist Andrey Piontkovsky. He hopes that Lukashenka will not go on the offensive against Ukraine.

According to him, Lukashenka continues to dodge, but he is afraid because Putin threatens to kill him.

He noted that the President of Belarus is constantly retreating, and now he has retreated to the limit, which allowed Putin and his troops to come to Belarus.

It still seems to me that Lukashenka will not send his military, but Russian troops will attack from his territory. Putin is not going to ask him about it. After all, Belarus has been occupied by Putin for a long time,” Piontkovsky explained.

The publicist says that the scope of Lukashenka's powers is modeled by different structures. For example, the fact that he does not send the Belarusian army is not only his choice, it is the choice of the Belarusians themselves.

“Lukashenko is afraid that Putin or the Belarusian army will kill him if he sends troops to fight against Ukraine. Therefore, he wags in this “corridor” of opportunities and has now stopped at the point that he can no longer resist the Russian troops present on his territory,” he said. he.

Piontkovsky added that the Belarusians will not go on the offensive because they will get fire that will destroy the advancing Russian army.

In addition, in his opinion, military operations in the Kherson and Northern directions will be decisive. Belarus is not the main theatre.

According to Piontkovsky, Belarusians will simply be turned into “mobiks”, and Russia can do it in two moves:

  • Kill Lukashenka,
  • Put some Russian general in jail, who will declare Belarus on the territory of Russia and begin mobilization.

“I think Putin is threatening Lukashenka with this option,” he added.

Important! The Main Intelligence Directorate was told that during the meetings between Putin and Lukashenko, Belarus is being persuaded to participate in an open war. The Belarusian dictator is ready to give Russia all the forces he has, just not to enter into an open war against Ukraine.

Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko confirmed the participation of Belarus in a “special military operation” in Ukraine. However, there are important nuances. And on October 10, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made a senile statement that Ukraine is preparing a strike against his state and a response to it.
