U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo has called for the holding of new presidential elections in Belarus, reports TASS.
The politician stated this during a visit to Slovenia at a press conference after a meeting with Prime Minister Janez Jansa.
“I think the only possible peaceful solution to the current crisis in Belarus, it is necessary to hold new elections in case of serious presence of international observers”, — quotes Agency the words of Pompeo.
Pompeo previously said that the US believes elections in Belarus are neither free nor fair.
