Poll: 37% of US voters could step into Trump's new party
37% of US voters could join a new political party if ex-President Donald Trump created it. The case study was conducted by The Hill and HarrisX.
Among Republicans, 64% of those polled expressed their readiness to join Trump's new political association, among Democrats there were 15%.
Earlier, the American media reported on Trump's intention, whose presidential term ended on January 20, to create a kind of political association called the Patriotic Party. However, Trump later abandoned this idea. His entourage reported that the former American leader “made it clear that his goal is to return the Senate and House of Representatives to the Republicans in 2022.”
We add that the leadership of the US Republican Party at the end of January announced that it did not plan to ask the ex-president to participate in the presidential elections in 2024.
