In recent days, we have been receiving more and more news about the advance of the Ukrainian military and the liberation of Ukrainian cities that were temporarily occupied by the Russians.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing and have liberated more than 1,000 square kilometers, and this, of course, has received a reaction from the Russians. Those who still managed to survive try to escape. Political consultant Mikhail Sheitelman commented on this for Channel 24.
No one can make a political decision
He believes that the events of recent days show that Russia has already crumbled politically, because the army does not seem to receive any specific orders. And in order to give orders to the military, political decisions are needed first.
Today, it seems to me, there is no one to make political decisions. And this happened for the first time in the entire war thanks to our strike,” Sheitelman emphasized.
He explained that when the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated the Russians near Kyiv, the political decision in Russia was made very quickly – it was necessary to withdraw the troops. Due to the fact that they did it quickly, they did not lose a large number of troops – in those days there were not even approximately the losses that they are now suffering. There was a competent retreat, which means there was a political decision.
But today, when Peskov, Putin's deputy chief of staff and his press secretary, journalists ask: “What about the Ukrainian offensive?”, he replies that this question is not for him, but for the representative of the Ministry of Defense, Konashenkov. And this, according to Sheitelman, is a fundamental change.
“Sands are Putin, you need to understand. It's like the way says:” This is not for me. “When else did we hear from Putin that something was not for him? He could say this with sarcasm, mockery, like:” NATO, and this is for the Queen of England. “But so that everything in Russia concerns him. They asked him:” When will we have a water supply?, And he said what date, and did not send him to the plumber. then “it's for Konashenkov, I'm out of work, I don't know,” the political strategist explained.
It seems to me that they have already fled politically. If they do not stop the political escape, then, of course, it will turn into a military one,” Sheitelman stated.
Russians are panicking and do not know what to do
He added that the absence of a political decision by the Russian leadership is also noticeable in the rhetoric of propagandists, who seem to have finally lost their manuals. They don't know what to say either.
According to Sheitelman, the most absurd thing they have said in recent days is that the Russian army is now deliberately carefully retreating and not firing at Ukrainian troops so as not to damage Ukrainian equipment, because it is very new and good, and they want then capture it whole.
This indicates that no one gave them instructions – what and how to tell. Someone had to define the line – to say that there is no retreat and everything is a lie, to talk again about the “gesture of good will” or to come up with something new. But that obviously didn't work out.
I'm pretty sure they don't have orders, and that's the worst part. This leads to a loss of credibility and trust in the future, and now causes panic at the front, – Sheitelman summed up.
Which settlements have liberated the Armed Forces of Ukraine in recent days
The General Staff confirmed that in the Kharkiv region our defenders have already liberated more than 20 settlements. In particular, the Ukrainian flags again flew over Balakleya, Volokhov Yar, Ozerny, Novaya Gusarovka.
There are successes in the South as well. Officially confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had liberated Vysokopolye, Kherson region.
