by alex

After stopping their protests at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint, Polish farmers announced that they will resume the blockade on December 10, and now on the entire section of the border with Ukraine, if their demands are not met.

This was stated by one of the leaders of the Deceived Village organization, Roman Kondrov, following a meeting with Polish Minister of Agriculture Czeslaw Sekierski on Sunday.

– We will suspend the protest, but we will not abandon it. And if the agreements are not fulfilled, we will return, but it will be a mass protest action along the entire eastern border, — noted the representative of the strikers.

Yesterday, Sekersky met with farmers at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint with Ukraine.

During the negotiations, agreements were reached that the farmers would submit their demands to the Ministry of Agriculture by November 26, a response to which Sekersky promised to prepare within two weeks — until December 10.

One of them is that the Polish government and Sejm should speak out against the free trade agreement between the European Union and the countries of South America.

They fear the uncontrolled flow of agricultural products to Poland from countries that are members of MERCOSUR.

On November 23 at 10:00, Polish farmers began blocking the movement of trucks at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border, and on the evening of the 24th they stopped protesting after a meeting with Minister Sekierski.
