According to the publication, protesters gathered in front of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. It is known that the police are present at the rally. She accompanied the column to the Sejm and the government office.

At the same time, a “rather tense atmosphere” was reported. The publication also reported that despite requests from the organizers, protesters use pyrotechnics.

The Sejm is already surrounded by barriers. So far there are more police there than farmers, but the first protesters are already standing on the other side of the street, the message says.

So, farmers want the authorities to abandon the “harmful proposals of the Green Deal” and close the borders from the “uncontrolled influx of agri-food products from non-EU countries.”

Farmers also demand to protect livestock farming in Poland.

In addition, it is known that on the afternoon of February 27, the protest organizers held a meeting with the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Golovnia. They will not meet with Agriculture Minister Czeslaw Sekierski as he is currently in Brussels.
