Polish carriers were not allowed to resume their protest on the border with Ukraine

Poland banned carriers from organizing a new protest at the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint on the border with Ukraine.

This was stated by the mayor of the Polish commune Dorogusk Wojciech Sawa. This checkpoint was unblocked on December 13, but strikers announced their intention to once again close access to the border to trucks.

According to foreign journalists, the organizer of the last strike has submitted a new application for a repeat protest on the Polish-Ukrainian border from December 18.

However, local authorities did not approve of the carriers' initiative. In particular, the mayor of Dorogusk forbade the blockade on the border again.

Wojciech Sawa referred to a legislative reason — threat to property on a significant scale. This can affect the financial losses of entrepreneurs. In response, Polish carriers threatened to go to court.

They intend to submit new applications on December 14 for protests near checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border in several places. Polish drivers have seven days to appeal the mayor's decision.
