The court reviewed more than 54,000 complaints about the elections, but only 21 of them were found to be justified. It was also established that these violations did not affect the final voting results.

“All the circumstances clearly indicate that Karol Nawrocki received more votes in the second round than Rafał Trzaskowski,” said Krzysztof Wiak, President of the Supreme Court’s Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs.

During the hearing, hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Supreme Court building: some demanded that the elections be recognized as valid, while others questioned the legitimacy of the decisions of the judicial chamber.

The Speaker of the Seimas, Szymon Hołownia, had previously promised that if the Supreme Court upheld the election results, the National Assembly would be held on August 6 to swear in the newly elected president.

Let us recall that, according to the vote count, Karol Nawrocki received 50.9% of the votes and was only slightly ahead of his rival, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, who received 49.1%.
