— The bill aims to create opportunities for financing measures aimed at increasing ammunition production capacity. The Capital Investment Fund will receive approximately PLN 3 billion for the purpose specified in the law. PLN 2 billion will come from the budget of the Ministry of Defence, — the document says.
Reuters reported that Poland has decided to ramp up ammunition production to have a sufficient supply in the event of an enemy invasion of the country.
It is noted that since Moscow launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Poland has become the country that spends the most on defense in NATO in relation to the size of its economy: 4.7% of gross domestic product is allocated for these purposes in the 2025 budget.

In May of this year, Tusk reported that the Polish government would allocate 10 billion zlotys ($2.55 billion) to strengthen the border zone with Russia and Belarus.
