Poland plans to fence itself off with a wall from the aggressor country. However, Warsaw will create more than just a physical barrier on the border with Russia.

Journalists asked the Prime Minister whether a fence similar to the one on the border with Belarus could be built on the Polish-Russian border. Mateusz Morawiecki spoke about the government's plans.

How exactly Poland will fence itself off from Russia

Morawiecki called the Kaliningrad region of Russia Königsberg and announced the construction of a wall on the border with her.

We announced that we will first begin to build a perimeter system for electronic border security. Then we will create an appropriate physical barrier in individual areas, and ultimately along the entire length of the border with the Königsberg region – the former Kaliningrad region, – said the head of the Polish government.

As local media write, Poland has begun to create an electronic barrier on the border with Russia back in April. Its construction should be completed in September or October 2023.

This system will consist of more than 3 thousand cameras and 200 kilometers of cables. The electric fence will allow full monitoring of the Polish-Russian border.
