The Polish government will file a complaint with the European Commission against Elon Musk's xAI over unacceptable statements made by the chatbot Grok towards Polish politicians, including Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
This was stated by the Minister of Digitalization of Poland, Krzysztof Gawkowski, in an interview with RMF FM.
Poland Ready to Block X Over Grok
The politician noted that he sees such statements as an example of a “new level of hate speech” produced by algorithms, and warned that ignoring the problem of artificial intelligence could have serious consequences for humanity.

– The Ministry of Digitalization will respond in accordance with the current legislation. We will inform the European Commission about the violation so that it can investigate this case and possibly impose a fine on the X platform. Freedom of speech is a human right, not an artificial intelligence right, – said Gavkovsky.
He also did not rule out the possibility of blocking the X platform itself if large tech companies do not respond to violations.
According to the minister, Poland has legal instruments that allow it to stop the social network, in particular through the electronic communications regulator.
Grok Content Scandals
The chatbot Grok has previously found itself at the center of a scandal for publishing comments with anti-Semitic cliches and praise for Adolf Hitler. Following complaints from users of the social network X and the Anti-Defamation League, the platform removed these messages, calling them “inappropriate.”
Also in Turkey, a court restricted access to certain content created by Grok after it insulted President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and religious values.
The company xAI, which developed the chatbot, has not yet commented on the situation.
