Today, the Armament Agency signed a contract with the US government worth about $850 million for the supply of several hundred AIM-120C AMRAAM missiles, the report said.

These are air-to-air missiles. The exact number of missiles ordered by Poland has not been disclosed. The missiles will be delivered between 2029 and 2033. These assets will use combat aircraft of the United States Air Force, which are in service with Poland.

Moreover, according to Polish media, next week Warsaw and Washington will sign an agreement to purchase 96 American-made Apache combat helicopters worth over $9 billion. They are to replace Poland's outdated Soviet-era helicopter fleet.

By the way, on August 1, Poland launched Operation Wschodnia Zorza, aimed at protecting its airspace from illegal intrusions, especially using drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles. The country took this step in response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
