From September 9, Poland plans to ease the crossing of its state border for Ukrainian trucks, including those carrying humanitarian aid.
This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a briefing after a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Morawiecki, from September 9, Poland opens an additional border crossing point for empty trucks.
And a month later, in October, we want to open another border crossing point for empty trucks . This will help relieve traffic at the border and help those trucks that left with humanitarian aid and return empty. We are working to solve this problem, – said the head of the Polish government.
We add that together with Moravetsky, the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, also visited Kyiv. Morawiecki added that during the meeting with Zelensky, they raised the issue:
- creating a joint hub for training and repairing equipment;
- supplying weapons;
- organizations monetary assistance.

- Morawiecki added that Poland will call on European countries and the United States to provide Ukraine with a 9 billion euro aid package
- In turn, Egils Levits announced that Latvia would join the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
- Vladimir Zelensky thanked the leaders of the states for taking ambitious steps to support Ukraine in granting it the status of a candidate member of the European Union, as well as for the support of our country as a whole.
