Poland extended free train travel for Ukrainians

Ukrainians can use trains in Poland for free until May 31/Collage of Channel 24

Poland continues to help Ukrainians who fled the war. In particular, our citizens have been extended for another month the right to use trains for free.

It will be possible to avoid paying for a train ride for another month. That is, until May 31.

Who can use Polish trains for free

Only Ukrainians who crossed the border after 24 February and belong to one of the following categories:

  • children under 18;
  • women regardless of age;
  • men over 60;< /li>
  • men of any age, if they have a disability or limited mobility.

Ukrainians must take a ticket for free travel. It is issued with a passport or other identification document.

How Poland helps Ukraine

  • On April 29, Andriy Yermak announced that Warsaw had handed over modernized T-72 tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.< /li>
  • In Gdansk, local authorities gave one of the squares the name of “Heroic Mariupol”.
  • On April 28, Poland decided to extend the deadline for paying aid to Ukrainian refugees for another 60 days. We are talking about 40 zlotys per person during the day.
  • Poland also announced that they were ready to accept wounded Ukrainians who were evacuated from Mariupol for treatment.
  • More than 77 thousand Ukrainians have already found work in Poland. Half of them work in industrial sectors.
