Poland is ready to transfer its own MiG-29 fighters to our country. However, this can be done provided that the country receives modern Western aircraft from its allies in return.

The Prime Minister stated this at a briefing with Vladimir Zelensky Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, informs Channel 24.

V Poland has been named a condition under which it will be able to send MiG-29

to UkraineToday we cannot so easily give away fighters, because they patrol our skies and carry out a NATO mission. But if NATO members allow these aircraft to be replaced by others, then I will convince our commanders to implement this decision as quickly as possible,” said the head of the Polish government.

Donald Tusk also noted that the transfer of these aircraft should not occur “at the expense of the security of Poland.” He noted that Ukraine is in a worse situation, but, however, according to the Polish prime minister, “after Ukraine comes Poland,” which is why Warsaw is so cautious in declaring what it is ready to do.

Zelensky announced a new defense package from Poland

President Vladimir Zelensky noted that Ukraine will receive a new package of military assistance from Poland. The relevant information was distributed on the website of the Office of the President.

According to the guarantor, all the details of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland are spelled out in the security agreement that they signed today, July 8. The President of Ukraine also thanked Poland for its readiness to continue to support our country and noted cooperation in the context of strengthening Ukrainian air defense.

We are especially grateful for the special agreements. This is reflected in the security agreement and is provided for by the provision on the development of a mechanism to shoot down Russian missiles and drones launched in the direction of Poland in Ukrainian airspace. Our teams, together with the military, will work out how quickly we can implement this point,” said the Ukrainian leader.
