Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh recalled that earlier Poland had repeatedly offered to help the Ukrainian authorities by sending Ukrainian men who were subject to military service to “fulfill their civic duty.”

“I think many Poles are outraged when they see young Ukrainian men in hotels and cafes and hear how much effort we have to make to help Ukraine,” he said.

As the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense noted, he is not surprised that the Ukrainians who are at the front have justified complaints against their peers who have “dispersed all over the world.” However, the Polish added that the form of such “help” largely depends on the Ukrainian side.

“I am not surprised that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine made such a decision. everything to meet the needs at the front with new soldiers, because they are huge,” said Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.

  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an order according to which male citizens aged 18 to 60 years temporarily will not be able to receive consular services. Also, the state enterprise “Document” announced the suspension of the issuance of ready-made documents in foreign divisions due to “technical reasons.”
  • At the same time, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba emphasized that protecting the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens abroad has always been and remains a priority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And in the conditions of a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine, the priority is to protect the country from destruction.
  • The Foreign Ministry noted that temporarily only new applications from the category of citizens defined in the new law will not be accepted, since the period for consideration of such applications may exceed the time remaining before its entry into force. However, all applications for consular services submitted before April 23, 2024 will be fully reviewed and processed by consular offices.
