Exceeding the maximum level of aflatoxins was found in peanuts. A dangerous nut has already been recorded in two regions.
What is aflatoxin
Aflatoxin-B1 is a poisonous substance for humans and animals, which is secreted by some types of microscopic fungi. It causes malignant tumors and cirrhosis of the liver, and also reduces immunity. With severe poisoning with aflatoxin B1, cerebral edema and acute liver failure can occur.
Where poisonous nuts were found
Dangerous peanuts were found on store shelves in Odessa and the region, as well as in the Ivano-Frankivsk region . This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Food and Consumer Service.
We inform market operators about the need to withdraw it from circulation and notify in writing about the detected discrepancy within no more than two working days, – says in the message.
Dangerous biscuits detected in Ukraine
