Plans do not coincide with reality: Yusov on the Russian Federation’s desire to assemble an army of 6 thousand drones

The Russian Federation plans to assemble 6 thousand Shahed kamikaze drones by the summer of 2025, but continues to be dependent on their supplies from Tehran, because it has not been able to establish its own production.

About This was reported by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Andrey Yusov.

— Currently, Russia's dependence on supplies from Iran remains critical. They are moving towards establishing their own production. And such production already exists; we are mainly talking about large-scale assembly. The quantity is low — about 30 units per month. They plan to reach high levels, but so far the plans do not coincide with reality, — says Yusov.

The media previously noted that Western countries are negotiating with Tehran in several areas in order to prevent its cooperation with the Russian Federation. According to American media reports, the United States is even offering a possible easing of sanctions in exchange for stopping the supply of attack drones and components for the Russian Armed Forces. Sooner or later, Tehran may stop cooperation with the Russian Federation in this area. And then, according to Yusov, the aggressor country will face a serious problem.
