Elon Musk has become quite an influential person in the circle of the newly elected US President. He is expected to join Donald Trump's administration. However, given the impulsive nature of the Republican leader, Musk may lose his influence in politics.

Political science candidate and expert on Central and Eastern Europe Ivan Preobrazhensky told Channel 24 that Musk, due to his excessive activity in Trump's political life, could very quickly become boring to him.

According to Ivan Preobrazhensky, Elon Musk believes that Trump owes his presidency to him, he is very intrusive, so the newly elected president can “throw him out of politics”.

If their relationship deteriorates, then there will be more than enough claims against Musk, given the accusations against him, long before his political activity, about machinations in the stock market, – noted the candidate of political sciences.

In addition, it was previously announced that Musk will head a new ministry, where he will be engaged in cleaning up the state apparatus.

Although Trump praised Musk for supporting the campaign, some of the new president's allies believe his ambitions could harm their cooperation.

According to Preobrazhensky, during Trump's first term, he had serious problems with the bureaucracy in the United States. That is why the newly elected president plans to create the Department of Government Efficiency to tailor it to himself.

Musk and Ramaswamy will receive maximum negativity because of such activities. They will have a phenomenal anti-rating, he said.

The political science candidate explained that the activities of the Department of Government Efficiency will consist of personnel purges of hundreds or thousands of American civil servants. This could lead to disruptions in the activities of government agencies.

“Obviously, Elon Musk will become a scapegoat. Trump's team will be able to pin on him any of their failures and negative actions that will cause discontent among Americans,” Ivan Preobrazhensky suggested.
