At the end of September 2021, a 1st year student opened fire at Perm State University of Russia. Then 6 people died, another 47 were injured.
According to Russian media, the Perm court on Wednesday, December 28, announced the verdict on the shooter. Earlier, during the detention, Timur Bekmansurov admitted his guilt and repented, Channel 24 reports.
What sentence was announced by the court
19-year-old shooter Timur Bekmansurov sentenced to life in prison. The Perm court found the young man guilty under the article on the murder of two or more people.
As noted, during the trial, the prosecutor asked for a life sentence for Bekmansurov. The lawyer, in turn, insisted on mitigating the punishment, since he fully admitted his guilt and repented.
Recall that during the arrest, the shooter was wounded in the thigh. The guy had to amputate his left leg to the knee.
