In 2024, payments to teachers will increase by 21%, in general, budget expenditures on education will reach more than 170 billion UAH.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal announced this at a government meeting.
— This year, budget expenditures on education will amount to more than UAH 170 billion. This is an increase of more than UAH 20 billion compared to last year. Payments to Ukrainian teachers, our teachers, will be increased by 21%, — he said.
Shmygal noted that UAH 2.5 billion will be spent on arranging shelters, UAH 1.5 billion — for the New Ukrainian School (NUS), 1.5 billion UAH — for the modernization of school canteens, as well as 1 billion UAH — on school buses.
