Payments to pensioners for Independence Day: who can receive and the amount
The Pension Fund of Ukraine reports that the procedure for making a one-time cash payment for the Independence Day of Ukraine, provided for by the Laws of Ukraine On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection and On victims of Nazi persecution.

It was approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1396 of December 27, 2023 on Certain issues of social protection of persons with special labor services to the Motherland, war veterans and persons working in special conditions.
The amount of payments is determined by Government Decree No. 369 of April 2, 2024 On establishing the size of a one-time cash payment for the Independence Day of Ukraine.
Some categories of Ukrainians will be able to receive one-time cash payments for the Independence Day of Ukraine in 2024 in the amount of from 450 to 3100 UAH.
According to the document, the one-time cash payment in 2024 is:
- 3 100 UAH – for persons with disabilities due to war, group I;
- 2,900 UAH — for persons with disabilities due to war, group II;
- 2 700 UAH – for persons with disabilities due to war, group III;
- 1,000 UAH – for combatants;
- 3 100 UAH – for persons who have special services to the Motherland;
- 650 UAH – for family members of persons who have special services to the Motherland;
- 450 UAH – to war participants and former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, other places of forced detention and the like.
How to receive payments for Independence Day for pensioners
Payments to pensioners for Independence Day will be calculated automatically, so there is no need to personally contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Pensioners eligible for such payment will receive cash assistance in August 2024 along with pension.
