Pavel Durov said that he is the biological father of more than 100 children.

He spoke about this on his Telegram channel on the evening of July 29.

“I was just told that I have more than 100 biological children. How is this possible for a guy who has never been married and prefers to live alone?”, Durov wrote.

According to him, 15 years ago one of his friends told him that he and his wife could not have children and asked Durov to become a sperm donor.

“The head of the clinic told me that “High-quality donor material” is in short supply and that it is my civic duty to donate more sperm to anonymously help other couples,” Durov said.

He added that by 2024, his donor material had helped more than 100 couples from 12 countries become parents. He noted that many years after he stopped being a donor, at least one IVF clinic still has his frozen sperm.

Now I plan to open access to my DNA so that my biological children can easily find each other. Of course, there is a risk, but I do not regret being a donor. The lack of healthy sperm is becoming an increasingly serious problem around the world, and I am proud to have contributed to its solution, said Pavel Durov.
