These funds will be used to purchase Patriot and NASAMS air defense system interceptors for Ukraine, according to the Pentagon website.

Full list of the new military aid package to Ukraine:

  • missiles for HAWK air defense systems;
  • ammunition for HIMARS;
  • 155mm and 105mm artillery shells;
  • 81 mm mortar mines;
  • optical tracked wire-guided (TOW) missiles;
  • anti-tank systems Javelin and AT-4;
  • small arms ammunition and grenades;
  • equipment and ammunition for blasting;
  • tactical vehicles for towing and transporting equipment;
  • tactical air navigation systems and aviation support equipment;
  • spare parts, maintenance, other field and support equipment.

As previously announced, the White House plans to expedite the delivery of these missiles by rescheduling future military shipments to Ukraine.

In this case, Ukraine will receive interception capabilities that are urgently needed to protect the population and critical infrastructure from Russian attacks.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently announced more news about strengthening Ukraine's air defense ahead of the NATO summit in Washington.
