A plane crashed in South Korea, as reported by the media on the night of December 29. According to local police and rescue services, there were 175 passengers and 6 crew members on board. Yonhap initially reported 23 fatalities, but later the number of dead began to rise to 26.

The plane crashed at Muan International Airport, located in the south of South Korea. The South Korean airline Jeju Air, which arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed into a fence outside the runway during landing.

All services are currently working at the scene, the rescue mission is ongoing. They write that so far two people have been found alive. Most likely, there were no Ukrainian citizens among the passengers – the reports speak of 173 South Korean citizens and 2 from Thailand. There are no other details about the victims or rescued at this time.
