Russian general Igor Turchenyuk, who was involved in the seizure of the right bank of the Kherson region and mass repressions, was informed of suspicion.
Involved in the occupation of the Kherson region: what punishment faces the Russian general
As it turned out, Igor Turchenyuk holds the position of commander of the South Russian Guard group of troops.
At the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, it was his units that took part in the capture of the right bank part of the Kherson region.

During the occupation, Turchenyuk led the so-called “filtration” groups of Russians who pursued residents who resisted.
Also, on his orders, the occupiers attacked protesters who opposed the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
In addition, during the dispersal of peaceful protests, Russian invaders kidnapped people and sent them to dungeons.
Also under the leadership of Turchenyuk, the Russian military was on duty at checkpoints, where they stopped and seized the cars of civilians who wanted to travel to Ukrainian-controlled territory. The invaders stole documents, money, phones and other personal items from drivers and passengers.
Shortly before the de-occupation of Kherson, Russian invaders under the command of Turchenyuk fled to the left bank of the Kherson region, where they now continue to commit crimes against Ukrainians.
For this, Putin’s former bodyguard, and now the head of the Russian Guard, Viktor Zolotov awarded his subordinate’s group the Order of Zhukov.
Given the war crimes committed, Turchenyuk was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28, part 2 art. 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (planning, preparation, unleashing and waging an aggressive war by prior conspiracy by a group of persons).
Comprehensive measures are now ongoing to find and punish the Russian general, since for now the invader is in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for the 854th day.
