German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius commented on the scandal with the Bundeswehr telephone conversation intercepted by the Russians.
According to Bild, in his statement on Sunday, Pistorius said that the Russian dictator was waging an information war against Germany. According to him, this was a Russian hybrid attack aimed at “undermining our resolve”.
— This is part of Putin’s information war, — he said in Berlin during a briefing.
Pistorius said he immediately ordered a full investigation into the incident to find out whether the officers were authorized to speak about the contents and whether it was the right decision to select for communication platform WebEx.
