Nastya lived with her parents in the city center and heard shelling all the time. At first, the explosions were heard far away and the family got used to them, and when they became louder and more often, they sat in the toilet.
While dad was with the family, the girls did not want to leave, although Uncle Nastya insisted on this and the girl herself persuaded her parents but they didn't want to. But everything changed after March 21.
My parents were in the store when the rocket arrived
With a trembling voice, Nastya remembered that at 9 am on March 21, her parents went to the store, a little far from home.
They just disappeared. I waited for them until 6 pm, but did not wait. It turned out that a rocket had landed there. The parents were in the store just at that moment. Mom was wounded by shrapnel, she lay and called dad. He heard her screams, but he was in so much pain that he could not say anything. He was also wounded,” the girl said.
After the shelling, they were hospitalized.
The girl saved her mother, but does not know about the fate of her father
Dad then in intensive care already started to say something. Now I don’t know anything about him, they don’t tell me where he is, whether he is alive, maybe he died. But I took my mother out and saved her, – said 14-year-old Nastya.
Her mother stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks and all this time the child lived with a neighbor. There was no electricity, no water in the hospital, and all patients were discharged. After this situation, the girls decided to leave their hometown. We got to the Dnieper by bus, and after a while we went by train to Lviv.
