On the night of June 27-28, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out another special operation, attacking the Kirovskoye military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea with drones.

Kirovskoye airfield attacked by drones

The Ukrainian special service carried out strikes on the location of enemy aviation forces, air defense systems, ammunition depots, as well as enemy reconnaissance and attack drones.

“The available data indicate the destruction of multi-purpose and attack helicopters Mi-8, Mi-26 and Mi-28, as well as the self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun system Pantsir-S1,” the SBU reported.

Explosions were heard at the airfield at night due to the detonation of ammunition.

Now watching

The SBU reported that the service is working to weaken Russia's ability to carry out air strikes on Ukraine. The enemy must understand that their expensive military equipment and ammunition are not safe either on the front lines, or in temporarily captured territories, or deep in their own rear.

Earlier it was reported that on June 28, between 02:50 and 03:02, a series of explosions were heard in the area of the Kirovskoye airfield. NASA satellites recorded strong fires.
