In the final, the Ukrainian won the Olympic silver with a result of 461.3, losing only to the Chinese athlete Liu Yukun (463.6).

Kulish commented on the silver of the 2024 Olympics

— Now I am overwhelmed with emotions. It is always like this after some medal, it is always like this. It's hard to even describe what emotions these are, because they're off the charts, the athlete said at a press conference.

According to the Ukrainian shooter, experience helped him maintain concentration and aim for the top ten.

— How did you manage to maintain concentration? It's a conversation with yourself, it's difficult. Our sport is more technical and static. But somehow I managed to do it — this is not the first time, so I have experience, Kulish noted.

It should be noted that Serhiy Kulish became the second Ukrainian athlete to win a medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The first was Olha Kharlan, who won bronze in individual sabre.

At the 2020 Tokyo Games, Kulish also fought for a medal in this discipline, but in one of his attempts he accidentally hit his opponent's target and took eighth place.

This is the third Olympics in a row for the Ukrainian. In 2016, in Rio, he also won silver, but in 10-meter air rifle shooting.
