Over the past 2 weeks, Russia could have suffered the greatest losses in the war – British intelligence

by alex

In the past 2 weeks, Russia has probably suffered the most losses since the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Every day, the Russians lose more than half a thousand soldiers.

This is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense for February 12. British intelligence officers point to the daily information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on losses among the Russian military.

Russia's average casualty rate is 824 casualties per day

The British say they cannot test the Ukrainian methodology for calculating Russia's losses. However, British intelligence indicates that the trends illustrating the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are probably accurate.

It is reported that the average loss of Russia over the past 7 days was 824 victims per day. This is four times more than in June-July 2022, when fierce fighting took place in the Luhansk region.

The authors of the review emphasize that Ukraine also continues to suffer from a high level of outflow of personnel.

< p>British intelligence believes that the increase in Russian losses is likely due to a number of factors. Among them is the lack of trained personnel, coordination and resources along the entire front.

The scouts emphasize that these factors are visible in the battles for Ugledar and Bakhmut.

Russia uses “expendable troops” tactics

  • Lawrence Friedman, emeritus professor of military studies at King's College London, noted that Russia has developed a tactic of using its soldiers as a cheap resource.
  • This tactic involves the movement of infidels against Ukrainian lines under the influence of drugs and machine guns with a meager chance of survival. Tactics at the cost of human lives allow the Russians to display the positions of the Ukrainian military.
  • At the same time, Friedman notes that the tactics may not work in the long term, as Russia risks losing its potential.
  • According actions occupiers were fixed on different sectors of the front. In recent months, Russia has resorted to this tactic near Bakhmut, Soledar and Vugledar, where a lot of manpower has been advancing.

Please note. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of February 12, Russia's total combat losses already amount to 137,780 soldiers. Immediately 900 Russian kafirs were eliminated over the past day.
