Our way to strengthen sanctions, Zhdanov called the consequences of attacks on Russian refineries

Ukraine is targeting Russian oil refineries. The aggressor country has already felt the consequences of such attacks.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov commented 24 Channelsuccessful SBU operations at Russian refineries in Ust-Luga, Tuapse and the Volgograd region. According to Bloomberg, oil refining in the aggressor country has fallen to its lowest level.

“This is our way to strengthen sanctions,” Zhdanov noted.< /p>

If Novatek in Ust-Luga and Rosneft in Tuapse worked exclusively for export, then Lukoil in the Volgograd region worked for the domestic market. Therefore, supply interruptions or price increases may begin in the Southern Federal District of Russia.

Moreover, the aggressor country will no longer be able to direct the lost funds from oil exports to war.

Ukraine has chosen a winning tactic of strikes

“They no longer burn containers with oil, gasoline, fuel. No, they can be restored and filled again. They destroy the production chain – those oil refineries or chemical facilities that carry out chemical procedures,” Zhdanov emphasized.

If we talk about the restoration of Russian oil refineries, then this means huge amounts of money and a long time.

Strikes on Russian refineries: main

  • The attack on the oil terminal in Ust-Luga occurred on the night of January 21. The resulting fire was extinguished for almost two days, but the facility was put out of action indefinitely.
  • On the evening of January 24, an oil refinery in Tuapse caught fire. A vacuum unit at the facility burned down, which will not be restored until the end of February.
  • Already on the night of February 3 there was a fire show at the oil refinery in Volgograd. Before the encounter with the Ukrainian drones, the total capacity of the plant was more than 14 million tons.
