We must not lose courage, resilience and unity so as not to lose Ukraine, President Vladimir Zelensky said at the celebrations for the Day of Defenders.
— Modern generations of Ukrainians and everyone who is now defending our state and people, freedom and independence, have the opportunity to win more than they could before. Our defense against Russian invasion rests on the historically greater unity of our society, a unity that we cherish.
Ukraine has historically greater support from the world. And although it happens that clouds approach and bring doubts, the strength of our bright desire for freedom is capable, like the sun, of breaking through any clouds. And this happened more than once. And never again will Ukraine pay with the future of its children, its sovereignty and will for illusory promises of peace, — the head of state emphasized.

— Ukrainian courage should bring peace to the state, and it will. The resilience of our people must guarantee the integrity of our state. After a minute of silence, Zelensky presented state awards, battle flags and presidential honor ribbons for courage and bravery.
