“Our freedom was and will be” – Klitschko will give the award for freedom for all Ukrainians to the National Museum

Vladimir Klitschko will present the European M100 Media Award to the National Museum of the History of Ukraine. This year it was awarded to all Ukrainians for striving for freedom.

Wladimir Klitschko wrote about this on his Facebook page. This award was given to Ukrainians a few days ago.

A few days ago, the people of Ukraine were awarded the European Prize for Freedom. I had the honor to receive it on behalf of all Ukrainians. This award will go to the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, where the theme of the struggle of our people for freedom occupies the main place, – said Volodymyr Klitschko.

He also noted that the desire of Ukrainians to live in a free world will never be broken.

“Russia understands only the language of force. It perceives the desire to live in a free world as a weakness. What it did not take into account is the difference – Ukrainians are not afraid of Russia. Now the whole world sees it. “There is no nation in the world that would so passionately demonstrate the value of freedom for the last few months, “says the rationale for the decision to present the M100 Sanssouci Colloquium Media Award to Ukrainians. It's true. Freedom is within us. It will never be broken. Neither by dictators, nor by evil empires. They will fall. And our freedom was and will be. Ukraine was and will be! Glory to Ukraine,” said Wladimir Klitschko.

It was previously reported that the prestigious German M100 Media Award this year was awarded to the people of Ukraine “for courage and resilience in the fight against the Russian invasion.” Wladimir Klitschko received the award on behalf of the people of Ukraine on September 15.

The M100 Media Award has been awarded since 2005 for contributions to the defense of media freedom and freedom of speech, as well as strengthening democratic principles and mutual understanding in Europe. Previously, the award was received by German ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs Hans-Dietrich Genscher, founder of Doctors Without Borders, the French magazine Charlie Hebdo and others.
