During a massive missile attack on Ukraine on February 10, 2 Russian Kalibr missiles flew over the territory of Romania. However, the country does not confirm the incident, but stands in the pose of an ostrich.
So, the NATO country once again takes a position, they say, nothing happened. About thisChannel 24Ivan Stupak, a former employee of the SBU and an expert at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, said.
Why Romania does not confirm the passage of Russian missiles -or a violation, then, of course, there will be Article 5 of the North Atlantic Alliance on collective defense. In fact, NATO is not ready to defend itself.
The Alliance is not ready to defend itself and is looking for any opportunity to pretend that nothing happened and everything is fine, – said the former SBU officer.
NATO has all these documents on collective defense, however there is no determination to act when it comes down to it.
According to Stupak, the Alliance is not yet a dead organization and Ukraine needs to keep moving there. However, the real prospect lies with small associations – no more than 10 countries that can defend themselves resolutely. Both from missiles flying over their territory, and on the diplomatic front.

Why NATO did not shoot down missiles over Romania
Stupak noted that there is a possibility that the Alliance “didn't see” Russian missiles in Romanian airspace. This is possible if the “Caliber” flew an insignificant distance over the territory of a NATO country and the air defense system did not work.
However, this option should be ruled out and considered that NATO recorded the passage of missiles by the aggressor country. In this case, there is only one answer.
“At the moment the only answer for me is cowardice”, said the former SBU officer.
