The Eighth Court of Appeal opened proceedings against a number of political parties. It happened at the suit of the Ministry of Justice.
The court decided to introduce the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated March 18.
It involves stopping the activities of individual political parties. We are talking about:
- “Union of Left Forces”;
- “Opposition Bloc”;
- “Socialist Party of Ukraine”;
- “Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine”;
- “Socialists”;
- “Left Opposition”;
- “Ours”;
- ” State”;
- “justice and development”;
- “Party of Sharia”;
- “Vladimir Saldo's bloc”.
< p>Note that most of these parties are not just lobbying for Russian interests, but openly pro-Russian ones. Interestingly, one of the most pro-Russian parties in the Verkhovna Rada, the Opposition Platform for Life, ceased to exist in May. Its dissolution was announced in the parliament.
What preceded the demise of the HRF
- A few days before the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine, the HRF deputies began to leave our state. In just 3 days, 60 charters flew abroad.
- A few days later it became known that the mayor of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, Gennady Matsegora, handed over the city to the Russian military. He began open cooperation with the occupiers. Later he was caught. Then the prosecutors accused the collaborator of treason.
- In mid-March, Ilya Kivu, who was a deputy from the Opposition Platform for Life, was put on the international wanted list by the DBR. Before that, Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova signed a suspicion on him. Ilya Kiva is accused of treason, as well as public calls to change the borders of the territory of Ukraine.
During a nightly address, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that a number of parties cease their activities during the war in Ukraine.
Later, NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov promised that each member of the Opposition Platform for Life would be dealt with separately. Then he noted that the party “has not yet been finished off, but believe me, it will definitely be destroyed.” In addition, he noted that the deputies of the Opposition Platform for Life, who help the occupiers, will answer to the Ukrainian law.
