The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region is an obvious humiliation of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
This was stated by the Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Laurynas Kaščiūnas in an interview with LRT.

In his opinion, the most important result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk region was the rise in morale of the Ukrainian defenders amid talk of possible supposedly “peaceful” negotiations with Moscow.
The Lithuanian Defense Minister said that Ukraine decided to play an interesting game and strengthened its position. According to him, if the Ukrainian Armed Forces manage to maintain control over this territory, this will greatly increase the negotiating power.
On the afternoon of August 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed for the first time the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region.
According to him, the goal is to liberate the border territories of Ukraine from the occupiers who carried out attacks with KABs and other weapons in the Sumy region.
