All information and psychological operations carried out by Russia against Ukraine have one goal — collapse of defense and opening of the internal front.
This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov in an interview with the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council.
The goal of Russian IPSO in Ukraine
— All IPSO, fakes, propaganda of racists have the ultimate goal of a breakthrough and collapse of the Ukrainian front and the opening of an internal front. Therefore, countering such hybrid information aggression is extremely important, — noted Yusov.
According to him, the task of the Russian special services is within our state — break resistance, demotivate and split society, force civil confrontation, discredit in the eyes of Ukrainians not only the military-political leadership of the state, but also the image of the military as such.

— All these campaigns are aimed at disrupting mobilization efforts and using the themes of prisoners of war and civilian hostages to put pressure on society. Therefore, the task of the state — communicate these things efficiently, media — responsibly disseminate information, citizens — consume this information responsibly, — emphasized the representative of the GUR.
Yusov called on Ukrainians to use verified sources of information that “do not hype on hot headlines and people’s misfortune”, but are part of the information resistance to Russian aggression.
