A man died and three others were hospitalized as a result of a tree falling in Taras Shevchenko Park in Kiev.

According to the Kiev Police, four citizens were injured as a result of a tree falling in a park in the central part of the capital – a man and three women.
The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance, where one of the women died as a result of her injuries. Another woman is in serious condition.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Negligence of office).
According to forecasts by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, wind gusts in Kiev will reach 15-20 m/s.

Residents are urged to stay away from billboards during strong winds on the street, power lines, large trees, do not park vehicles near them, close windows tightly, remove objects from balconies and loggias that could fall out.
