Russia continues its cynical war with Ukraine. It is increasingly becoming clear that one of the main tasks of the occupiers is to encircle the Ukrainian forces in the East.
Vadim Denisenko, an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, spoke about this. He confirmed the latest British intelligence data.
Denisenko: the cities of Mariupol and Izyum are in the plans of the Russians
Denisenko noted that this possibility was discussed even before the beginning of a full-scale war in Russia. Before the invasion, the theoretically possible offensives of the Russians were discussed.
It was then that many experts said that one of the tasks of the invaders would be to “take” the cities of Kharkov and Izyum from above from the north.

He noted that Ukraine has been aware of such attempts for more than 30 days. To date, Izyum, Kharkiv and Nikolaev remain Ukrainian cities, so Ukrainian soldiers continue to fight and attack.
“We continue to discourage the Russians from their desires. Although this is really one of their key plans. We must understand that today Today, one of the main tasks facing the Russians is the cities of Mariupol and Izyum. Plans are failing so far,” Denisenko said.
