On Tuesday, November 21, on the 10th anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, visited Kiev.

Visit of the President of the European Council
Charles Michel published a photo from the Kyiv railway station. Judging by the photograph, he was met by the EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Maternova.

“It’s nice to be in Kyiv again – among friends,” noted Michel.
Earlier, the Politico publication, citing sources, wrote that the President of the European Council will arrive in the capital of Ukraine to honor the 10th anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity. The protests began on November 21, 2013 after former President Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union.
The visit takes place on the eve of the European Council summit, which is planned for mid-December. It will discuss the recommendations of the European Commission to begin formal negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
Visit of the President of Moldova
President of Moldova Maia Sandu said that she arrived in Kyiv for negotiations with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and Charles Michel.
As you know, the European Commission in a recent report also recommended starting negotiations with Moldova on accession to the EU.

“On our agenda: discussion of the next steps for Moldova and Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, strengthening regional security and further EU support for reforms and development in our countries,” Sandu emphasized on the social network.
Together with President Vladimir Zelensky and First Lady Elena Zelenskaya, she has already taken part in a ceremony honoring the memory of those killed during the Revolution of Dignity. The leaders installed lamps to the cross on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred in Kyiv.
As you know, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius is also visiting Kyiv today. He is scheduled to hold talks with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
