Omsk doctors who saved Navalny's life were pointed out in Germany

Berlin believes that the life of Alexei Navalny was saved by Omsk doctors and plane pilots who made an emergency landing. The German newspaper Die Zeit writes about this, citing sources.

“The fact that he is still alive, they say in Berlin, was associated only with a chain of happy circumstances, such as the quick reaction of the pilot who crashed the car, as well as the doctors in Omsk,” the newspaper writes.

As Die Zeit clarifies, Berlin does not consider it likely that foreign special services operated on Russian territory. Such an option is “unthinkable” given that Navalny was constantly under surveillance.

Earlier, Germany refused to transfer evidence in the Navalny case to Russia. It is noted that Berlin handed over the results of the samples to the Navalny OPCW, which includes Russia. Germany did this because the Novichok poisoning was in violation of the chemical weapons agreement.

Alexei Navalny became ill on the morning of August 20 during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, the plane urgently landed in Omsk. On August 22, the Russian was taken to the Berlin clinic “Charite”. The doctors told about the poisoning with a substance from the “Novichok” group. Russian doctors insist that no toxic substances were detected in his body before Navalny was taken abroad. On September 7, Navalny was taken out of a coma.
