The well-known streaming platform Oll.tv has stopped working. This was reported on the video service website on July 22.

Now the site can be accessed, but it is completely empty. There are only announcements about the termination of the Internet TV service. It is also impossible to register a new account there.
What is known about Oll.tv
This is a resource that is part of a media holding owned by Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov – “Media Group Ukraine”. Also in this holding:

- full service media agency;

- multimedia news platform – website and TV broadcast;
- cross-platform regional news project.
Was Oll.tv profitable
Forbes reported that in May 2020, the Big Data UA consulting company estimated the number of Oll.tv users at 200 thousand. However, as of June 2022, the number was already about 50,000 fewer.
The founder of Big Data, Sergey Boyko, pointed out that, unlike the two main competitors, Akhmetov's streaming was stagnating in terms of audience expansion. According to a specialist in 2017-2020, Oll.tv was teetering on the verge of loss. He emphasized that this is evidenced by data from the YouControl analytics service.
Pay attention! In 2021, Forbes valued Oll.tv at about $20 million. For comparison, the leader of the Ukrainian streaming market valued the resource in the same year at $170 million.
What Oll.tv offered to users
In total, 150 foreign and Ukrainian TV channels were collected on streaming. Also, the owners of a paid subscription had the opportunity to watch more than 15 thousand different films and TV shows there.
Many people also bought access to the service to watch football and other sports broadcasts. Prior to the full-blown invasion of Oll.tv, the plan was to bet on its own series. Streaming director Yulia Tribushnaya said in an interview with Detector Media that “Exclusive content is exactly what the platform is created for. This is a global model.” However, only one exclusive was released on the service.
