The Iranian state aircraft manufacturing company Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company is behind the production of the Shahed-131136 attack drones that Russia is firing at Ukraine.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General with reference to examinations in response to a request from the Public.
Experts have identified that drones with Russian markings Geranium are Iranian Shahed.

— The conclusions of expert studies were obtained, according to which UAVs marked Geranium-2 were identified as kamikaze UAVs of the Shahed-136 type. Another seized sample, called Geran-1, was identified as a Shahed-131 kamikaze attack UAV. The developer and manufacturer of these UAVs is Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Company (HESA) of the Islamic Republic of Iran, — says the reply letter.
At the same time, the letter does not specify information about other UAVs of the Mohajer-6 or Italmas types.
— After the examinations, it will be possible to obtain information about the use of new types of drones, including Italmas, or others. The pre-trial investigation in these criminal proceedings continues, — indicated in the letter.
Suspilne points out that this is the first data from law enforcement agencies that may indicate the involvement of official Tehran in the production of drones.
Back in January 2023, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported that it was not yet possible to accurately determine the country of origin of the drones, supply routes, place of manufacture and other details, but they would try to establish this.
To a question to the OGPU regarding foreign components that are used in drones, the prosecutor's office indicated that requests were sent to 9 countries to establish supply routes for components. The list of countries is not specified.

— Requests for international legal assistance have been sent to 9 countries of the world in order to establish ways of supplying dual-use UAV components to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation, — the message says.
Previously, specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate and KNIISE reported that elements from Japan, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Canada, Iran and the USA were found in attack UAVs.
