Officials, MPs and Judges May Be Allowed to Freely Travel Abroad – Bill

The corresponding bill On additional measures to strengthen the motivation and protection of the rights of military personnel under martial law was registered in the Rada on August 2.

According to the document, it is proposed to establish that the persons specified in Part 1, paragraphs 1-5 of Part 3, Parts 5 and 6 of Article 23 of the Law on Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization have, for the duration of the deferment, the right to unhindered travel abroad, subject to the presentation of a document on the deferment from conscription.

— The specified right, during the period of exercising their powers, extends to people's deputies of Ukraine, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and deputies of local councils, provided that they present their service ID, — the report says.

Article 25 of the Law on Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization proposes to establish that the persons specified in Part 1 of Art. 25, have, for the duration of the reservation, the right to freely travel abroad, provided that they present a document confirming the reservation.

We also note that the parliamentary committee on national security, defense and intelligence recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt as a basis and as a whole the revised bill No. 11379-d on amendments to the law On mobilization training and mobilization, eliminating the legal conflict that allows the mobilization of military personnel up to the age of 25.
