“Offering thousands of euros”: Russia recruits Poles to destabilize the country before the elections Polina Buyanova

Russian special services are trying to recruit Poles to destabilize the situation in the country before the elections, which will be held in 2025.

This is reported by 24 Channel with reference to RMF 24. It is noted that voting in the first round of the Polish presidential elections will take place on May 18, 2025.

How the Russians are trying to destabilize the situation

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digitalization of Poland Krzysztof Gawkowski said that Russia has begun to look for Poles to destabilize the situation in the country.

I want to warn everyone not to act against their own country, Gawkowski said.

According to him, today Europe needs to be warned against cyber wars with Russia. The Polish Minister of Digitalization also reminded about criminal liability for such actions.

Even a small entry into relations with Russian services is espionage, and since January, Russian military intelligence has been looking for Poles to participate in this. Such a situation has never happened before, – he explained.

Gawkowski added that offers from APT groups or groups approached by Russia to pay Poles “thousands of euros” for actions against their state are appearing online. According to Krzysztof Gawkowski, a plan for protecting elections in cyberspace will soon be announced.
