In Kyiv, law enforcement officers together with the SBU officers exposed another fraudulent scheme that allowed men of draft age to avoid mobilization.
A man who smuggled conscripts abroad has been detained
A 24-year-old resident of Kyiv offered conscripts help in enrolling in a Polish university for full-time study. For successfully passing online exams, he asked for $10,000.
This allowed his clients, namely men of draft age, to cross the Ukrainian border without hindrance.

The man's activities ceased, since during the transfer of money from a fictitious 25-year-old applicant, the police detained the fraudster red-handed.
The offender was charged under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the illegal transfer of people across the state border of Ukraine. Issues regarding his detention are currently being resolved.
If the man's guilt is proven, he faces up to nine years in prison and confiscation of property. In addition, the offender will be prohibited from holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for up to three years.
