The Russians are having more and more problems with the supply of ammunition and human resources. Soon, the occupying troops will not be able to hold back the counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Bakhmut and Svatovo.
Alexander Kovalenko, a military-political observer of the Information Resistance group, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, the occupiers will not have enough strength and means to fully make an impenetrable bastion out of the Svatovo-Kremennaya section.
The invaders will not be able to compensate for the losses at Bakhmut
Kovalenko noted that during December, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out attacks on enemy ammunition depots, from where ammunition was supplied to artillery near Bakhmut. That is, the Russians were left without a proportional amount of ammunition by the end of December.
He recalled that at the end of 2022, a video was published on the network in which the Wagnerites complained that they did not have enough ammunition. All this is due to the regular high-precision work of our artillery. We also saw how the Armed Forces of Ukraine “congratulated” the occupiers in Makiivka on the New Year.
It was enchanting, it was bright, and it was also the destruction in a matter of minutes of the battalion tactical group, actually wounded and liquidated, – Kovalenko noted.
According to him, it was a fresh armored personnel carrier, which had ammunition and a certain amount of equipment. It was she who, one way or another, had to go on rotation with the units that are located along the line of collision in the direction of Avdiivka and Bakhmut. That is, the Russians have a problem not only with ammunition, but also with the timely supply of a resource that could compensate for losses.
Therefore, Kovalenko emphasized, the situation in these locations may completely change in the near future, because the Russian invaders will not be able to restrain the counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and will lose positions in certain locations near Avdiivka and Bakhmut.

When the enemy cannot defend at Svatovo
The military-political observer noted that the Russians are throwing a large number of forces and means on the Svatovo-Kremennaya line. However, they are still not enough to fully make a bastion out of this area, which cannot be broken through.
According to him, the Svatovo-Kremennaya section is under the full fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and our soldiers are already physically located in some locations. Therefore, the movement of invaders in this area is quite problematic.
At the same time, he noted that the situation is somewhat different on the Troitskoye-Svatovo section, because it is through this section that the supply of forces and means from Russia to Svatovo takes place. When the Armed Forces of Ukraine establish fire control and there is a physical presence in this segment, this may put an end to the issue of further developments in the liberation of Svatovo.
When the northern and southern branches of this route are cut, it will be impossible for the Russian invaders to fully defend Svatovo, to conduct defensive operations there. Consequently, they will have only one thing left – to flee to Starobelsk, – Kovalenko emphasized.
And then, the military-political observer summed up, their entire front will crumble, and there will also be a cascade destruction of the enemy’s defenses, at least towards Starobelsk.
What is the situation with Bakhmut and Svatovo: briefly
- Bakhmut is the hottest point of the front. On January 2, Ukrainian border guards near Bakhmut and in the city itself fought two hard battles, one of which lasted more than four hours.
