The Mayor of Melitopol spoke about the actions of the invaders/Collage of Channel 24
Russian invaders continue to terrorize the inhabitants of Melitopol. Enemies threaten people that they will settle Russians.
Relevant information was reported by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov on July 20. He added that the situation in the occupied territories is getting more complicated every day.
Russians terrorize people in Melitopol
The mayor of the city said that over the past week the occupiers have made a total tour of all residential buildings and apartments and conducted a population census.
They look at who lives in the apartment and look especially carefully at when the ownership right or the contract of sale is formalized. Everything that is issued before February 19 will not be recognized by the enemy. He says that he will take these apartments and settle in these premises some of his residents from distant regions of Russia,” Fedorov said.
The minister explained that this alarms people and causes them concern. Because if someone bought an apartment three days before the war, the invaders want to take it away.
City residents live without gas for two weeks
Ivan Fedorov said that a humanitarian catastrophe is also occupied region. The mayor of the city explained:
- There has been no natural gas for two weeks already – heating is only electric, and hot water is only electric;
- therefore, many of the residents bring cylinders of natural gas into their homes and apartments. This is dangerous, because there may be explosions of gas cylinders, as has already happened in Melitopol and other temporarily occupied territories.
The enemy is not going to stay in the winter on temporarily occupied territories, because there is no preparation for the heating season at all in Melitopol. the mayor said.
He also added that some boiler houses are completely destroyed, and some areas will certainly remain without heating.
Ivan Fedorov added that the Ukrainian authorities, when the enemy comes out, will try to start all the boiler houses. However, the mayor has no idea how to do it in a month, a week or two, when there is little time left.
According to the mayor, according to preliminary estimates, about 60,000 civilians remain in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. People want to leave the city, but the invaders do not let the cars through.
